Dr. Fowler's Dissertation on Breast Implants for Graduation!!!

Breast augmentation has been used throughout history to lure the opposite sex, to change appearance, and to defeat low self-esteem. In the eighteenth century, large breasts were so coveted that women underwent painful and disfiguring procedures in which such materials as ivory, glass, metal, and rubber were implanted into their breasts (Sarwer and Nordmann, 2000).
In 1890 an Austrian doctor used paraffin injections to swell the breasts. In the 1940s the Japanese prostitutes injected their breasts with industrial-grade silicone to appeal to U.S. soldiers during World War II. In the 1950s doctors implanted the Ivalon polyvinyl sponge into the chests of young women. In 1961 the first silicone implant was developed by two Houston surgeons, and Dow Corning took it to market in 1963. The first saline implant was invented in France in 1965 (Didie and Sarwer, 2003).

My name is Lori Fowler, and I have researched breast augmentation for over a decade. I have interviewed mothers and daughters throughout the state of Texas between the ages of 18-35. All of the daughters received augmentation as a graduation gift - despite possible complications. If you are looking for an expert to speak on the topic - please email me at doctorfowler@gmail.com Thanks!
